Brewers’ Brett Lawrie: Still getting in baseball shape

Lawrie will never consider element in baseball functions this spring and will rather aim on acquiring in baseball shape, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Lawrie was an exciting flyer on a slight-league offer for the Brewers, as he’s still just 29 and owns a respectable .261/.315/.419 slash line in parts of six major-league seasons. He’s been out of the match completely because remaining slice by the White Sox in March of 2017, and the simple fact that he will never even participate in baseball functions this spring indicates how much he is from returning to the majors.
