Dodgers get a run, chase Miley

Left-hander Wade Miley issued his first walk of the night in the fifth inning, and it didn’t take long to cost him.

After falling behind, 3-0, to before getting Austin Barnes to ground out, Miley again fell behind, 3-0, on Brian Dozier before walking him. David Freese, who homered to lead off the game, rifled a double to left-center to score Dozier, who just beat the relay through from shortstop Orlando Arcia. When Miley walked Max Muncy, his night was done.

Corey Knebel entered and got Justin Turner to fly out to center, then blew a fastball past Manny Machado for strike 3, much to the delight of the sell-out Miller Park crowd.

The Brewers hold a 5-2 lead at the halfway point.
