Granderson’s drive falls short; Dodgers take 4-3 lead to ninth.

Pinch-hitter Curtis Granderson got the Miller Park fans out of their seats, but his bid for a go-ahead home run fell about 10 feet short, and the Los Angeles Dodgers take a 4-3 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers into the ninth.

Mike Moustakas drew a one-out walk off lefty Caleb Ferguson to give Brewers fans some hope. Travis Shaw, who homered off lefty Alex Wood in the sixth, grounded into a fielder’s choice.

The Dodgers brought in Kenta Maeda. Granderson sent a long drive to right field, but right fielder Yasiel Puig, who was playing deep with his heels on the warning track already, had no trouble moving to his right for the catch.
