Hader works around two hits in scoreless eighth

With the score tied through the top of the eighth inning, Brewers manager Craig Counsell has gone to bullpen weapon Josh Hader for the bottom of the eighth.

Hader threw just eight pitches Monday night in striking out the only two batters he faced.

Hader allowed a leadoff single to Max Muncy and a two-out single to Cody Bellinger that moved Brian Dozier to third. Hader came back to strike out pinch-hitter Matt Kemp, sending the game to the ninth tied at 1-1.

Hader will most certainly not be available for Wednesday’s Game 5. The Brewers have never used him in three straight games.
