The bottom of the Milwaukee Brewers batting order delivered again, as pinch-hitter Domingo Santana delivered a run-scoring double in the fifth inning to forge a 1-1 tie.
Orlando Arcia singled with one out, causing manager Craig Counsell to send Santana to the plate in place of rookie pitcher Freddy Peralta. Santana made the move work by driving a Rich Hill curveball to the gap in right-center. Arcia raced around third and beat the relay throw to score the tying run.
Lorenzo Cain grounded out, and Christian Yelich struck out to end the inning, but the Brewers were back to even.
Peralta pitched three scoreless innings in his major-league post-season debut.
