In 2011, David Freese delivered some of the biggest blows against the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, as he helped the St. Louis Cardinals to victory. He got back to it again Friday night.
Now a Los Angeles Dodger, Freese led off Game 6 of the NLCS with a home run off Wade Miley to give his team the early lead. Trailing in the series, 3-2, the Brewers need to win to push the series to a deciding seventh game.
Freese was the series Most Valuable Player in 2011, as the Cardinals beat the Brewers in six games to advance to — and ultimately win — the World Series.
