Left fielder Chris Taylor made a spectacular catch on a drive by Christian Yelich to rob the Brewers of a tying run and possibly more and end the fifth inning.
The Dodgers lead the Brewes, 2-1, entering the sixth inning.
After Orlando Arcia grounded to third, Brewers manager Craig Counsell had to send pinch-hitter Domingo Santana up for reliever Josh Hader. That didn’t work out as Santana struck out in what turned into a weak at-bat. He swing at a pitch well out of the zone and took a called third strike.
But Lorenzo Cain lined a double to left to chase Dodgers starter Walker Buehler. Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts brought on lefty Julio Urias to face likely MVP Christian Yelich, who homered in the first for the Brewers only run.
Yelich lined a ball deep to the left-center field gap, but Taylor, who started the game at second base, raced over and caught the ball at the tip of his glove.
