What you need to know about Monday’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs.
WHY IT’S BEING PLAYED
The Brewers and Cubs will play a 163rd game of the REGULAR season at 12:05 p.m. Monday at Wrigley Field in Chicago to determine the winner of the National League Central Division.
The Cubs host the game because they won the season series over the Brewers, 11 games to 8.
Tickets for Monday’s game go on sale at Cubs.com/tickets beginning at 7:30 tonight.
Monday’s winner advances to the division series starting Thursday. Monday’s loser must play in the Wild Card game Tuesday against either the Rockies or Dodgers. If the Brewers lose Monday, the Wild Card game will be at 7 p.m. in Milwaukee.
The Chicago forecast calls for a game-time temperature of 65 degrees with a 15 percent chance of rain.
Monday’s statistics will count toward the pursuit of a Triple Crown by the Brewers’ Christian Yelich.
The Brewers wills start Jhoulys Chacin (15-8) vs. the Cubs’ Jose Quintana (13-11).
