Yelich’s first extra-base hit of series leads to another run

Christian Yelich, who entered the night hitting just .150 in the series, lined a double to the right-center field gap with one out in the second inning and scored on Ryan Braun’s double to increase the Brewers’ lead to 5-1.

Yelich had just three hits in 20 at bats in the first five games and grounded out in the first inning. Two of Yelich’s hits were infield hits — one a bunt — and the other was a grounder through the left side.

But he drove the ball hard to right-center and beat Yasiel Puig’s throw.
